Speaker 1:

Episode 164, and I hope you're wanting more. Unfortunately, when I reference more this week, it's more challenges, more obstacles, more difficulties, more struggles. But here we are yet again, more excited, more determined, more prepared to have ourselves a great event. So don't clean that pan, because I'm about to use that grease. Let me tell you something Everybody struggles. The difference is some people choose to go through it and some choose to grow through it. The choice is completely yours. Which one you choose will have a very profound effect on the way you live your life. If you find strength in the struggle, then this podcast is for you. You have a relationship that is comfortable with uncomfortable conversations. Uncomfortable conversations challenge you, humble you and they bail you. When you sprinkle a little time and distance on it, it all makes sense. Most disagreements they stem from our own insecurities.

Speaker 2:

You are right where you need to be.

Speaker 1:

Guess what baby this week? It's me and my boo. Can I break you with that? Can I get you?

Speaker 3:

over there. That was good.

Speaker 1:

Thanks. Episode 164,. I hope y'all want it more. That's 160 for consecutive weeks. Share the struggle podcast. Don't forget find all things podcast related wwwsharethrugglepodcastcom. How you feeling over there Sleepy. Oh, you ain't kidding. You ain't kidding Cinderella. I'm a little tired too, but we're coming to you. Live, well, live for the two of us on opening day of the Windsor Fair watching some audio from Matilda here. Whatever this is.

Speaker 3:

That's a good one. Thanks, man, did you just name the camper? Maybe, I've been calling her old big Bertha.

Speaker 1:

She does seem like a big Bertha, but she's classy.

Speaker 3:

I like Matilda. That's pretty nice. We did name the last one. Actually, I named the last one so.

Speaker 1:

Matilda sounds great. So, matilda, welcome to Matilda. Do you know the heritage behind Matilda?

Speaker 3:

Oh, I love the movie Matilda.

Speaker 1:

Well, for me it was different, actually because I'm a weirdo. Matilda actually started my bulldog addiction.

Speaker 3:

Oh, was that Bo's mom?

Speaker 1:

No, no, when I was a kid growing up as a wrestling fanatic that I am watching the. British Bulldogs their mascot was an English bulldog named Matilda.

Speaker 3:

Okay, now I know.

Speaker 1:

So I wanted a bulldog forever and I wanted to name her Matilda. And then I got a boy named in Bo Cifas. But here we are, man, that just kind of happened. Naturally, I think Matilda's nice.

Speaker 3:

I mean, it's up to you I remember watching the Matilda movie and she was just a troubled child and people used to call me Matilda all the time.

Speaker 1:

All right, I don't remember that movie, so we're even.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you have to watch that one. That one's a good one All right, it's a good one. Here we are, I mean now we have to get it to watch it in here.

Speaker 1:

It might have to. We are recording on Sunday what's today? Do you know the date?

Speaker 3:

27th.

Speaker 1:

Sunday, august 27th, it is opening day for the Windsor Fair. This is a fair that I think it's going to be good to us because we've loved this fair since we was just common fair folk. You know what I mean. Before we were on this circle to Valhalla that we're on here.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we used to come here ourselves just to check it out, this one, and then we would go to Freiburg.

Speaker 1:

I think for like three, four years we came here every year on Labor Day to check it out.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's right, because I would always have it off. We're here kicking in the sticks ready to rock and roll by the skin of our teeth.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God. First off, before we get rolling too much into this, it's going to be a short episode today. I'm just going to put it out there to everybody. We have to run down and open things up. It's going to be a short episode.

Speaker 3:

In like 30 minutes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, before we get rolling too deep, I just want to start off again with another big, solid thank you to Matt and Sarah from Ledgerway Farms for helping us to get into this fair, because I know without those guys pushing for us it wouldn't be happening for us. I talked a lot about Matt over the past few weeks when we've been at like tops and fair and having rainouts and stuff like that. We're going to just get into really quick the fact that we've had another difficult week, another challenging week. Matt's been checking in with me every damn day and offering his support to help get us here. He's just been so genuine. You can tell that it's rare in this world when you meet a couple of people that are small business owners. They're fellow business owners that they set an example for you to shoot for, but they're also genuinely invested in the success of you and your business and they do what they can to push for you. Those two have been an absolute blessing for us. I can't thank them enough because we would not be here.

Speaker 3:

No, absolutely not. If it wasn't for them, they fed you the first matter. We got here, like what?

Speaker 1:

I know we rolled in. Oh man, we rolled in late.

Speaker 3:

It was about nine o'clock.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sarah came out with a bundless cheeseburger because we're on that diet trade right now which maybe next week we'll share some of the diet love with y'all. I wanted you to join me today, number one. We're both trapped here in Matilda getting ready to rock and roll, but you've accomplished some things this week and I'm gonna end up turning this over to you, but I want some people to understand again. The challenge has kept on rolling for us this week. We've been working hard and fast to try to get here for this fair, to try to be as prepared as we possibly can and to make this as big of a success as we can, because everybody's been a tough season for us, right? But this is one of our biggest events of the year. We're prepared for it to be, we're hoping for it to be, we're praying for it to be.

Speaker 3:

Everyone tells us that it's supposed to be the biggest event other than Fryberg. Yeah, everyone says, man, this is where you guys need to be.

Speaker 1:

It's gonna be, great for you. So we're eager to get that rock and roll in. But I must say our original plan was to come here on Thursday evening. You got out of work a little early. We were headed over to Bentley's. Lee was gonna help us set the camper up. Oh, matilda, you're gonna go in for the first time.

Speaker 3:

Get her juices flowing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah we pulled out of our driveway. By the end of our road you were on the old two-way radio sending me some Houston, we have a problem. Yeah, not so positive information. What was that said? Problem, little lady.

Speaker 3:

I got no brakes none. Foot's all the way to the floor. I'm standing on the brake pedal. I got nothing.

Speaker 1:

So let's think about the fact that it's the first real time. I mean we actually told this girl home when you bought her but, we're about to hit the interstate. We're heading out for this big ass event. I'm behind you with the ambulance fully loaded. And who just came off of some truck problems? Right, we spent the whole week before dealing with that. And now we lost the brakes in the truck.

Speaker 3:

Pretty scary when you're on a 28-foot camper and you have no brakes. Thankfully, by the grace of God and someone upstairs watching over us, we did not make it to the turnpike, we just made it to the end of our road. I started to notice at first that when we were coming off of our driveway and so I started you know I've been around a garage a handful of times so I did the whole standard pump your brakes, you know, let's see if that, you know, tightens back up. But yeah, no, she was not getting any tighter.

Speaker 1:

No, no, not so much At this point here, Tim, let's throw out another shout out and another big old thank you and love and support to Amanda for rolling by.

Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh, what are the chances?

Speaker 1:

Dedicated, loyal listener. Share the struggle podcast. I wanna say Amanda's a day one she's been here for the whole show.

Speaker 2:

Probably yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know we've had many of times of following up with positive conversations about weekly episodes and things like that. Sweet soul, sweet soul, yeah, she's awesome man, she's awesome, and she recognized us on the side of the road there.

Speaker 3:

She noticed your ambulance.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, whipped right in like oh my God, is this season gonna get any shittier?

Speaker 3:

for you guys. Yeah, seriously.

Speaker 1:

And you know, she's like what can I do? What can I do to help? And we're like I really don't know at this point.

Speaker 3:

No, I got nothing.

Speaker 1:

You know what? I'm gonna get you out of here. I'm gonna lead you out of here. So if you're gonna hit somebody, it's gonna be me.

Speaker 2:

That's friendship right there. Hey, you gonna hit somebody Saka. Make it be me, make it be me. Yeah, cause we had to.

Speaker 3:

So yes, we pulled out of our road. Most people would be like why don't you just turn around?

Speaker 1:

Cause we're crazy? Well, because we had a schedule upkeep.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I'm a little crazy. So I'm like you know what? Whatever, let's roll to Bentley's, let's get this bad boy open, because we, lo and behold, we'll be at Windsor Fair. By the grace of God. Like we're gonna send a Hail Mary and we're gonna make it. So I was like let's go get the camper open, because Lee is only gonna be at the vent at Bentley's for a short amount of time and he's waiting for us. He's texting me and I'm like freaking out cause I have no breaks. So, yeah, amanda pulls in and she's like where are you headed? And I was like you said, back home, turn this bitch around. And we're going back home, we're done, we're fucked, we're done. And so I said I'm checking my, my phone's going off next to me and I'm like no, we're not done, it's not happening. Like we're gonna go to Bentley's, we're gonna open the camper and we're headed out. Like I mean, I'll do what I can. But so we ended up milking it all the way down to Bentley's with Amanda trucking in front of a, in front of me.

Speaker 1:

If Amanda didn't lead escort and we didn't head over to the saloon, if we, if we did make it here, we would have been screwed because the water connections to this thing was all screwed up. Lights- were messed up, lee took the time to fix all that and get us rocking and rolling. So that was pretty unbelievable. And then we got fortunate that the the broken brake lines were at the at the top coming off the master cylinder, so you could get to them under the hood Are those called the hydraulic lines. I don't believe, so Maybe I don't fucking know.

Speaker 3:

That's what the guy at O'Reilly told me.

Speaker 1:

Is it? Is that what they are?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, while you were, in the other part store. I was calling O'Reilly around the town trying to figure out if he had a watch.

Speaker 1:

Maybe that would be it comes off a master cylinder. I guess it could be. I don't know, it's too early and I haven't had enough sleep, so quit quizzing me, all right.

Speaker 2:

I was actually impressed that I knew.

Speaker 1:

I'm not O'Reilly over here, neither nor my auto zone.

Speaker 3:

Some people on the on the listen might be pretty impressed that I knew what that was.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's impressive so.

Speaker 3:

Or I look like a complete idiot, because that's not what it is.

Speaker 1:

So it was pouring out. It started down pouring. We covered the back of the truck with tarps and everything. My mom had an umbrella over the roof of the, the hood of the truck.

Speaker 3:

And not just any old umbrella. This is like a patio.

Speaker 1:

A big old patio umbrella brand new, fresh out the box. She's been waiting to break it in.

Speaker 3:

I do have a picture of that I can send you.

Speaker 1:

No man and my dad working under the hood and which I took a lot of mental abuse trying to help my dad for a day. That was that was fantastic. Yeah, pretty much. Olden day you don't listen. You're just like your fucking mother. You don't listen. Thanks, dad, I love you too. I'm fucking sick of it. You don't listen to me, you little cocksucker.

Speaker 3:

Thanks, dad, love you, I really appreciate meanwhile there's a wrench going across the door yard.

Speaker 1:

I walked off at one point to just to do something different and I saw a step stool like a small ladder go flying like right by my head, oh Lord willing. So my cousin, joey back at it again showed up to save the day. Let's see, with them getting after it. My dad's getting old and honoree right, so we're getting things somewhat straightened out. Number one this biggest issue with me was that I left one of the old rusted beat-up bolts that we couldn't get out of the master cylinder at the part store when we were trying to find new ones. The parts guy threw it in the trash. That was his biggest complaint to me, that I didn't bring that fucking bolt back. That was my fault.

Speaker 3:

But but I mean, let's just also take in some consideration that that guy at the part store took you out back, sorted through all the bolts like he didn't have to do that.

Speaker 1:

No, he definitely didn't. He did a great job and I thanked him for that. What I would say, unfortunately, is that my dad was wrecked because the next day you know what the problem was. No guys saw me the wrong fucking connections, the wrong bolts. So Joey went to fucking Dapa and came back and they had the right ones on in two minutes. No, the guy tried his ass off.

Speaker 3:

You know, he really did he could have been like nah man, I don't have that, like everybody else did.

Speaker 1:

I bought some store tool to flare the lines that I have to bring back in the meantime. I've lost the receipts at that, so I don't need to me to flare your brake lines. I can do that for you. It's just fucking, which is sweet. But Joey showed up, save the day. This is pretty damn funny. I'm gonna put this out there. My dad's getting old and honoring. He likes to tell people off and to tell you that he doesn't need any fucking help or anything. So he had, yeah.

Speaker 3:

He walked around and do stuff all on his own and the bitching complain that he heard his back, but he didn't ask for help.

Speaker 1:

He had a good start to what he was doing and then my cousin pulled in and he's like he fucking helping me. And when my cousin comes over and was like what are you doing? None of your fucking business, I don't need to help, he says shut up the old cocksucker. I'm here to help and you know they've got a great relationship. It's pretty, it's pretty hilarious.

Speaker 3:

It is pretty hilarious.

Speaker 1:

My dad's yelling at him like about don't, don't overdo that, you're gonna strip it. Oh, that's great. Now I realize I'm not a fucking idiot. We got that established, get out of the way so I can fix that. So that was pretty funny. So again, thanks to.

Speaker 3:

Joe, the two of them should have been on live.

Speaker 1:

I don't know now, no I, we would have been shot down. Some stuff would have come out of their mouths.

Speaker 3:

Nah what a shot us right down if you can show your tits on freakin tiktok, I think you'd be fine, they're showing tits on tiktok now. You'll do anything. You'll show your clan box on tiktok.

Speaker 1:

You gotta get back on tiktok Special, on a clan box, clan box special, how much you paint? Yeah, haven't you paid. Anyways, we get that thing rocking and rolling and we left, oh shit, friday night and then ended up. Yeah, cuz it was raining pretty much all day and then it rained on the way up here we got. We arrived here Friday night. What time we get here? You said nine ish maybe yeah, like 835 yeah to set up camp, and then I'm gonna turn it over to you in a second. But I also want to say that we Then turn this into Saturday, a one-day setup for something that we normally would take three days to build.

Speaker 3:

That's why we're tired.

Speaker 1:

Yeah and yeah, we're gonna. We're gonna give you a little secret on that display in a minute, but first off, you accomplish some stuff, you? Uh, I think it was a bucketless Friday for you. You want to want?

Speaker 3:

to talk to the people. Yeah Well, I hauled Mishilda for the first time on the turnpike, so I've actually only been hauling on the turnpike for what? One year, I think and it's only been like a couple affairs.

Speaker 1:

Right, last year we did top some. That was our only turnpike run, and then we've done that again this year. Mm-hmm, so that was like a year. Yeah, exactly, you've only had a couple trips on the bike.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, four, four trips on the bike, and that was with my smaller camper. So I um Got on the on the turnpike, no problem, and Just trucking right along, like Old red actually prefers to haul the the 28 footer instead of the 23 footer or like big girls. She does like big girls. She does now while I'm driving on the turnpike. The only thing that actually makes me anxious and kind of nervous is like when tractor trailers come Wushing up behind you and then all of a sudden I'm in the left lane and the right lane, like I'm just like fishtailing With the 23 footer. That happens every time. I am like 10 and 2, white knuckled, like when the tractor trailers are coming. Look, my asshole is puckered, like I know what's about to happen.

Speaker 1:

No, puckered asshole. Whoosh is a technical term for all you truckers out there.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

That's a term where the trail truck and the wind comes whooshing off the side of the truck as it comes, approaching you A little too closely, and you get that, that buffering right. You get that Jimmy buffering like it's you going back and forth.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's whoosh. That's whoosh a technical term, yep and so uh, but I'm happy to announce that that did not happen with the 28 footer. A you haul small box truck went whooshing by me at like probably 90.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean. The thing about that whoosh is, I think he was like lighting his crack pipe when he went by. He was a little close.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, that's the only one that actually sent me like packing. Yeah, fishtailing a little bit, but tractor trailers went by and I think I mean obviously it's because Um of the space between the tires and and the tongue, for sure I think it ends up being what like Five or six feet from the tongue. So the weight is evenly distributed, which is so much more helpful, and I'm super thankful for that. Um. So, yeah, that's bucket list number one hauling the 28 footer. I have not had much time to practice with it because the old girl needed four new shoes. Um, so, other than driving it home from actin and turning it around an art door yard, I really haven't had any practice hauling her Um, and then, to my surprise, it started raining even more, which, again, I've never even hauled the 23 footer in the rain. I prefer to avoid it because it's just another factor that you have to like be careful.

Speaker 1:

A lot of fresh paved roads on the interstate with an oil coming out of the pavement. You know.

Speaker 3:

So a little slippery.

Speaker 1:

You mix in the nighttime as well. It's hard to see in general.

Speaker 3:

That's another thing that we had to add.

Speaker 1:

Throw in my 2003 light bulbs. Terrible, terrible.

Speaker 3:

So the last thing on the bucket list was driving at nighttime. Like driving at nighttime in general is kind of tricky for me with the new LED lights, Like I kind of have to monitor the mustard and the mayonnaise on the road. So the yellow line and the white line in case you were wondering.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yellow is mustard.

Speaker 3:

Yellow is mustard, white is mayonnaise.

Speaker 1:

That's right, that's right, these people are confused. A lot of technical trucking terms over here.

Speaker 3:

You know what I mean. Keep it between the mustard and the mayonnaise.

Speaker 1:

Mustard and mayonnaise people Just want to make a proper sandwich, so I'm driving along and you know, squinting, Squinting ghee over here. Squints pelodores is what I prefer.

Speaker 3:

Try to keep the trucking trailer between the mustard and the mayonnaise and avoiding all the whooshing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, keep it between the buns. You know what I mean.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so all is good. We hauled here no problem, and when I got here it was dark.

Speaker 1:

Just great job back in it. Matt was impressed with you.

Speaker 3:

Thanks, I'm trying, I'm trying. The 28 footer is way easier to haul and park and everybody's been telling me that the bigger they are, the easier they are to drive and haul and I'm like, okay, that doesn't make any sense. Oh, they're not wrong, they are not wrong. On the smaller trailer, you turn even like a half inch and start backing up and you're already jackknife and you're like for the love of God.

Speaker 1:

This is no fun.

Speaker 3:

This one. You have a little buffer, which is nice.

Speaker 1:

I think you did great. It was nice and smooth.

Speaker 3:

Thanks, yeah. So three things off the bucket list Palm 28, the rain the dark. Oh, and parking, oh, there's a bunch there, there's a bunch.

Speaker 1:

It's above my ability to count. I think we've gone over one hand that I have available. So, yeah, I think we're just a little late to get here, but we got here and then we took three days of work and piled it into one day. But we're gonna keep on sprinkling positivity on this because, as down as the season's been and as difficult as it's been and all these challenges, I made a little video that I put out about being a small business owner and what it's like to have all these challenges and what it feels like every day, and the fact that the most difficult thing about overcoming all these issues is trying to be positive at the same time, right. Because if you're, not positive, then you lose track of so many things, right? So it's really about remaining positive. I actually was listening to just to kind of put this in connection here and then we'll try to kind of wrap this up because I know we're not gonna have a lot of time today but I found myself on Friday while you were at work just trying to like get caught up. I was printing all day just to try to get more stuff done after we got the truck rocking and rolling and such, and I was listening to. I often listen to Elevation Church on YouTube. Guy's name, I believe, is Steven Finick. I wanna say and he had a sermon about it'll come together and that you know the whole saying of it'll come together and the fact that you know so many people always say that to you and he's like it's not a real comforting thing to say when it's like okay, everybody around me is getting married and kids and I'm single and grandma says it'll come together you know, or you just lost your job and you know you don't know how to, you can't pay rent and you can't pay the oil bill and someone says, don't worry, bud, it'll come together. Well, yeah, well, tell that to the fucking the light company, okay, but he had this whole speech in there and this whole sermon. It was super powerful. But me, being the weirdo that I am, there's certain little things that'll stick out to me that'll get me, and he was. He had a little story about his wife and he said that I think his wife's name's Holly I haven't listened to him enough, but he said that she was cooking in the kitchen and he's not much of a cook and she was cooking breakfast and he's like I'm just not good at cooking anything in general, but I wanted to help. So he was in there trying to help her cook breakfast and she just finished cooking up sausage and he took the pan right. He took the grill pan, he went all over to the sink and he started cleaning out the sausage grease and at that moment his wife Holly was like no, what are you doing? And she grabbed that pan from him and said I'm about to use that grease. And then she explained to him. If you want your eggs the way you like them, I'm about to use that grease. If you want me to finish this breakfast the way you like it, I'm gonna need that grease. And he went in and had this whole analogy about in life, there's these ingredients, there's these things you don't think about. There's these challenges, fuck. Without those challenges, you don't get the result.

Speaker 3:

It's true.

Speaker 1:

Without those challenges, without those difficulties, you don't get the result. Because you need that grease. If you were to eat that grease alone, it's gonna taste like shit.

Speaker 3:

If.

Speaker 1:

I get a big old spoonful of sausage grease. It's gonna taste like shit, right Garbage. There's not much you can do that. But if you want some beautiful fucking eggs, you can use that sausage grease. And when I think about losing an alternator and blowing brakes out and having to cut a hole on the side of the house to put an AC and to run your equipment, to having down 50% events, to having all these struggles, I'm gonna take those struggles and use that grease.

Speaker 2:

Amen, Lord, you crying in my tiller. Good Lord, maybe I gotta get some sleep.

Speaker 1:

You might have to open, I gotta get some sleep. But last night I thought about it. I thought about it when we were walking out of the tent and said there's that grease? Because last night we finished production on the biggest and best display we've ever done. We pulled it off in a timely fashion. I can't believe as many things went wrong, how many things went right because the fact we were able to lock down and secure another set of tents we have a 10 by 20 that we added to our two 10 by 10s. We managed to get a fully wrapped, fully decorated 10 by 20, new wall. We have been planning all these things out, making sketches in a notepad, and came up with shelving units and all these things we've done. We're now rocking a 20 by 20 tent. We were standing in the middle of that thing last night, looking around and realizing as we walked over to one section of the tent and looked around and said this right here, this one spot, this 10 feet, this is where we started three years ago and then last year, towards the end of the year, we added that extra 10 feet. And then we look in here now and be like man we started with 10 feet and we're 20 by 20. This is huge. This is a big difference, and I wanna think about taking that grease. I think about the fact that you and me are wearing two new designs today for t-shirts that go to work with At this fair if you're coming up here for the first time to see some stuff. We got a new rodeo t-shirt. America needs more cowboys. We got Jason Aldean Morgan Wallin t-shirt, the whiskey and wisdom tour man. We've got saving America one small town at the time. We've got new hats. We've got new flex fit hats here. We've got new rodeo onesies new rodeo kids t-shirts. We got new tank tops for ladies. Man, we dropped some new stuff. Man, we've been struggling. We ain't been hitting the numbers we wanna hit, but we're here We've been eating ramen noodles.

Speaker 3:

We can't even do that. We can't even eat that.

Speaker 2:

I've been eating the pack after ramen sprinkling it on my tuna, the seasoning I have the seasoning pack out you ramen, sweetie. Okay, look at him, he's growing boy. Let him have it. Let him just put it in his water. Just put it in his water. Let him drink some chicken water. Oh, look it. Oh, that boy is so happy. He's so happy. You know what? Send him to school. Send him to school with the beef packet, yes, spoiled. Let him take that beef packet when he gets to school and he can put that in his water. Yeah, that boy, oh that boy, he a happy child, he, happy child, oh he happy child.

Speaker 1:

I don't know where that came from. Man, what the fuck.

Speaker 2:

You're over tired.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm so tired. We finished last night after 11 and then we came back here and put a fucking couch together.

Speaker 3:

That was your idea. I was trying to go to bed.

Speaker 1:

Well.

Speaker 3:

You were trying to seduce me to take a shower, but I was trying to go to bed.

Speaker 1:

We might have some time as well.

Speaker 3:

No, we don't Damn it, you're gonna be late you have to open right now.

Speaker 1:

But what I'll? The point we're trying to make here is that we got the biggest display we've ever had, through all these obstacles, all these challenges. We've got more product than we've ever had and we're about to have one of the best weeks we've ever had, because we gonna take that grease Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, we're gonna cook you up something real.

Speaker 2:

Real.

Speaker 1:

Fucking nice.

Speaker 3:

Real nice.

Speaker 1:

Man, I hate to make this episode so short, because I am feeling positive.

Speaker 3:

Well, great, take that positivity down and let's open the tent.

Speaker 1:

Good Lord, oh, I got to give you one more thing for you mostly, but Derek sent me a message. Right, derek texted me and was like hey, man, how's the new camper? This was like the day after Lee worked on it and I said I think the camper's great Lee's got us all up and running, but we blew the brakes out of my truck. You know, don't have much for luck. Derek wrote back to me and was like that sounds pretty fucking lucky to me. You two didn't die when your brakes fell off.

Speaker 3:

Seriously, did I not just start? The episode off by saying that someone upstairs was watching over us because I could have been on the turnpike.

Speaker 1:

It's one of those things, though, if you have to reframe things, you have to reframe how you think about things and how you look at things and find positivity and things. Because we did say, thankfully this happened so close to home, we were able to turn around and figure it out. It could have been on the side of the road, and now you're trying to find a way to call your camper home and get your truck towed. All these things. You're not fixing those things on the side of the road so people could dwell on the fact that you missed your deadline. You were late to the party, like you didn't make it up there in time. All this work's getting pushed into. One day You're not gonna make it. You could give up. You could throw your hands up, you could not figure it out and you could just dwell on that the whole time. Or you can say, hey, let's get the camper straight, one problem at a time. Let's work on the truck. If we gotta take three days of work and put it into one, we'll figure it out and we'll get it done, that's what we did. It's a blessing that this happened so close to home, and sometimes people might say that you don't have any luck, but if you look at it in the right lens you had all the luck, because it could have been a hell of a lot worse. So last two mechanical failures we had, we were standing still for the most part right. So that too is a blessing. So somebody is looking out for us and they about to get a bad ass breakfast. So I was looking out for us and we're going to use that grease. We're going to make some eggs.

Speaker 3:

Yee-haw, let's go.

Speaker 1:

All right, now spread them legs. Time to go, baby. No, thank you for supporting my American dream.

Speaker 3:
